The first jump of the penguin

The 1st Penguin Club of Hiroshima University (HU) was already in operation for a couple of years. As a way to promote the internationalization and language skill improvement of the entrepreneurs, we decided to expand activities using the cooperation agreement we had with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). This session represents the first international jump of the penguin!
The event consisted of a round of friendly pitches, where entrepreneurs presented three business ideas per university online. After the presentations, each entrepreneur received feedback from experts from both universities. The challenge was to communicate in a foreign language (English), which increased the fear of failure for both parts. Nevertheless, the motivation of the entrepreneurs enriched the experience and was contagious. We also had the presence of the private recycling company COCCO, who asked the entrepreneurs to propose innovative solutions for one of their product issues.
With this first experience, we realized the high potential of the event and the need to create a more extensive and robust network.
